This process usually takes no more than an hour. It costs about a third of what traditional body shops charge and it keeps your paint in its original condition. The process is really quite simple in theory. Using stainless steel rods, we basically push the dents out from underneath. In practice, however, it takes a great deal of patience to learn the right combination of pressure, eye-hand coordination, leverage, and lighting.
There is some controversy over where the technique was first developed. It is believe that auto manufacturers first used it on assembly lines to keep production running smoothly. Auction houses, rental companies and auto dealers have taken advantage of the benefits of paintless dent removal for a great many years. My father, Frank Sundquist, started the company in the early 1990's. He quickly earned a reputation among the area auto dealers for excellent craftsmanship and prompt service. When I joined him, he naturally had a lot of things to say about dent repair. Mostly amounting to "DO GOOD WORK!" He had a few things to say about business too. With those simple ideas and all that he taught me about paintless dent removal, we expanded the business to included Benzie, Manistee, Wexford, Missaukee, Mason, Lake, Osceola, Clare, Gladwin, Mescosta, Isabella, Midland, Montcalm, Gratiot, Oceana, Newaygo, Muskegon, and Kent counties.
